and I can’t stop eating! 😉 Oh, Thanksgiving, when we give thanks for how glutinous (wait, not gluey) gluttonous we are. This year my mom was home so my girlfriend and I went there for the day. It was lovely, and everyone contributed to the dinner. We made the stuffing, my friend made veggies, mom cooked the turkey and mashed, her friend made the pies. Afterwards, the musicians in the group serenaded the rest of us with a variety of folk tunes, hymns and celtic tunes. We had one cello player, and two multi-taskers (one switching between guitar, fiddle and harmonica, and the other between guitar, mandolin and harmonica). It was a lot of fun, even though it occasionally sounded pretty uncoordinated and cacophonous. My girlfriend said she had a good time jamming with the “old folks” – my mom’s two friends.
